What was it?

It was billed to be a Memorial Service for the fallen victims of the Tucson slaughter of Saturday last. Usually Memorial Services are held in houses of worship, but not this one, it was staged in the U of AZ field house jammed with students and the grieving families of the fallen few. Overflow crowd were ushered to the football field, reminded me of The Denver occasion following PP acceptance of '08. The crowd went wild when PP and wife entered. Each of the speakers spoke from script with the exception of the 20 year old intern, who was one of the heroes of the tradegy, who spoke from the heart. PP kept the AG and the Secty. of Homeland Security, on message, by having them read from the bible. Now the big bopper stepped to the microphone and the house went wild again. PP did nothing but relished the attention. Everyone had forgot this was a memorial service. Again PP started out on script, then it turned into a preacherman's healing service. The climax came when PP stated, it was reported to him, that the Congresswoman had opened her eyes shortly after he and mamaO left the room. Almost a Biblical moment... it was not*, but the crowd went wild again. Back on script he addressed the hate, vitriol language over the past couple of years especially this last week, that has polorized the nation. This must stop, we need to demonstrate our best for the sake of the fallen victims, or words to that effect.* Winding up his speech focusing on the 9 year old granddaughter of Dallas Green of baseball lore. His delivery was excellent, didn't act as a mortition, feel your pain as the Zipper would say. Overall the speech was too long, 15 minute shorter would of been perfect, even mamaO'eye lid were heavy and she pointed PP to the exit as it she wanted to get out of there.

*The Congressman was in a drug induced coma to stablize her and to prevent swelling on the brain following surgery. As her condition improved, it had been reported earlier the hospital had been cutting back on drugs or drips thereof. It is quite possible the Congresswoman was slowly coming out of the "coma" when she opened her eyes, and it had nothing to do with the recent visitors.

* I believe Joan of 'Arc's video lecture earlier in the day, re: the media,pundents and left wing politicians taking free pot shots at the Tea Party and her specificly for the root cause for Tucson Incident needs to be stopped immediately. You go girl!
