Memorial Day 2010

Perhaps my most memorable, Memorial Day was not on Memorial Day at all. It was earlier on a May morn in an American Cemetery, a decade or so ago. The coastal fog had yet dissipated which added yet another somber, quiet accent over the many white crosses and stars. At Pont du Hoc the sea pounded the Normandie cliffs and beach heads like Utah and Omaha where so many young Americans left their lives for a greater cause... our freedom. There are some that today, that was in vein as Afgahanistan and Iraq and places yet in the daily press and 24 hour news cycle. The world is not just where a bow or a curtsey and redress heals all differences. In the mean time, America's might and resourses must not take a second place in world conflicts and humanitarian efforts, especially as a fragmented Europe, our so called allies, cut loose from there moorings is not a reassuring prospect for American'a own safety.

We witnessed the fall of communism in Eastern Europe in the late 1980-early 90's. The demise of socialism is unfolding in Western Europe as we speak, and this is the direction the dem progressives are trying to steer America? Bull Shit!!! Enough is enough. Off with their heads in the congressional election in November. Take over both houses, neutralize and tree the WH occupant.
After racking up week after week of >400 K new unemployment claims, the % of unemployment sprung forward 2% to 9.9%. WH says 300 K new jobs were added in April. However 60 K of the above number are part time census takers, another 700 K of same to be added in following months. All gone by years end, unless we have a continuous annual census. Maybe that could be included in the stimulus plan. The % of unemployed is said to go up as some of the 10 M + which fell off the rolls months ago, start looking for new work. The WH need ~ 500 K new jobs/ month for 5 years to absorb the 10 M + , plus the new graduates entering the work force during those 5 years. We are in for an extended U shaped recovery. Another stock market "correction" like last week... Frank's " Holy Crap" would be appropriate. Like I said months ago the "Greens" (which are progressives) screwed up any long term investments moneys, years's ago . We can not become a service only country. It will that years after private investments are added to the pot, guess 7- 10 years minimum. New opportunities are out there, if only one could just wave a hand and make it happen. It don't work that way even in ideal terms and conditions.

Dennis Blair - NIA Director - FIRED!

The only professional intelligent specialist in the White House was fired! Dennis Blair, NIA Director, was the guy who briefs Peter Pan first thing each day on security matters on info from most intelligent agencies. Idiots like Leon Penata, CIA Director... is off golfing most days, tricky dick Brennen, the camel herder and the clueless snapping turtle round out the balance of the OJT internal White House security team. Sitting Bull and Broken Axelrod administered the Chicago mob test and he flunked. He became first man out, experience don't count in this WH.

Prediction: A similar test will be given to the WH Economic team soon.

Another unfunded $200B stimulus bill is being steam rolled through congress to prop up the failed previous job creation (give away) bills. The number of new unemployment filings for the week spiked beyond expectations. The WH indicates the economy is improving, oh yea! Look at Europe, World and US stock markets, gold, crude, including S&P 500 and NASDAQ all heading south.
