PP arrived back at the WH Thursday ~2:00AM along with his entourage and wife. He expended perhaps millions of $s, not including the cost that the State of AZ and city of Tucson and Pima County spent. (Pecos Bill was still in town and in the audience, on overtime, not doubt), lost a days work for hundreds of people at the WH and other governmental offices, and donated tens of thousands pounds of CO2 and other polutants in the air we breath. I'm sounding green, but what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
President Reagan following the Challenge Explosion that killed 7 people, which the whole world saw live or on tape, went on TV that evening an addressed the whole nation and the tuned in world, the cruz of the diaster. And he did it in less than 15 minutes of air time and contributed zero polutiants to the atmosphere. By the way CO 2 was not a hazardous substance back in Reagan's time, we dummed down at lot since then.
That is the difference between a opportunist and a leader.
