After pp 6 years of OJT is starting to pay off in Afghanistan. A SOFA is to signed off today that leaves a residual force beyond the 12.31.2014. Lets see how this works out down the road before issuing any accolades. 3-In the three headed war in Syria, Sen.McCain points up that Assad must sign off or be aware that a no fly zone, must be enforce over Syria, before any allied ground troups enter that country. In otherwords, Assad must ground his air force. Russia might belly up to the table on this one. 4-My attempt to aline the Good Guys in Iraq: USAF/Navy-Marine Air, 3-5 Arab National Air, maybe a few NATO Air support units the rag tag Syrian rebels, some elements of the Sunni and Kurdish ground forces. 5-The Bad Guys: "IS" al-Qaeda core, Iraqi Shites, Iranian Shites down South. 5-Further attempt to aline elements of Good Guys Vs Bad Guys in Syria: Good Guys--USAF/Navy-Marine Air Force, 3-5 Arab Nation Air Force, rag tag Syrian Rebel army, maybe a couple NATO Air Forces, some elements of the Kurdish Army. The Bad Guys: Assad's Air Force and Army, Hezollah, Iraqi Shites and Assad's remaining stock pile of WMD. 6-Now the Really Bad Guys in Syria: "IS"/ Khorosan (al-Qeada core and leftover al-Qeada), Rebel Sunnis, Iraqi and Iranian Shites and the possibility of getting their hands on Assad's stockpile of WMDs.

Like Fort Hood??? 8-Some more NATO countries are joining the 'WAR', with US and Arab Nations fighter jets at 30,000 ft at least over Iraq. The British Parliment is holding their PM at bay, to see how things work out over Iraq before considering Syria. 9-Seems a key ingredient is missing in this new 'War'... like friendly ground troops. 10-In Iraq... it's a two headed war---we against them, well yea, but in a later blog I'll delineate. Syria is a convoluted three headed war never before attempted by sane leaders. 11-When is the Mid-Term Elections? Falls on one of my grandson's B-Day. A big day for celeibrations assured.

The shooting of young unarmed black boy and the riots that followed. pp didn't cite his home town Chicago's weekly murder rate, nor any other US city on black on black killings. Sidebar comment: Not certain what motivated Ferguson, MO to go bunkers on Tuesday? Maybe what was to said in the upcoming pp address to UN? I don't trust anything that comes out of the WH. 5-Correction on last blog: the new terrorist group du jour in Syria, is spelt "Khorasan". They were fix'n to attack European or US facilities in near future. Their centers were bombed last week and bombing still going on. The new ju jour terrorist group associated with "IS" is the Algerian branch. They recently behead a French tourist in that country. 6-France is re-thinking their position, if they should continue bombing from 30,000 ft above Iraq. 7-The Arab coalition 5, really is a coalition of 3, that actually particiate in Syria and Iraq air raids. The other two ride along for the hell of it. (Qatar and Brahrain) 8-No boot on the ground still holds, except for Kurds, remaining Iraqi army in Iraq and the good Syrian Rebels in Syrian. There is one city in NE Syria of ~400K souls, about to be surrounded by "IS". This could be a massacre! 9-The Star Spangled Banner became the Nation theme in 1931, do in part to Buffalo Bill Cody's popularing the song.

What Happens Tonight

1-pp authorized last night air strikes against "IS" and its partners inside Syria. Sunni Allies 5, were included in the air strikes which accompied US fighters. Missiles from 2 US ship from surrounding waters, as well as drones were used in the surprise attack. 2-Usually the first round of strikes are fired for effect, with other raids to follow the the days, weeks ahead. 3-Politically the timing was great. Congress is out of session until after the Mid-Term Election, and pp to addresses the UN on the global warming/climate change BS agenda later this week. One can not believe pp will not use this moment in time, to speak what he did in Syria, the whole Middle East mess, and confirm what #43 declared in 4Q2001, 13 years ago, that global war on terror will take decades to contain and destroy. 4-Be interesting if pp puts the World Muslim Leaders on notice, that they have to stand up, united, and denounce radical terrorism and put teeth into their resolutions. Kill the problem at it's core, where ever it exists. 5-The catalyst for pp action, were his poll numbers following the be-heading of 2 US and 1 Brit and the manufacturing of a new terror group, worse than al-Qaeda or "IS"...known recently as "Khorasay" or something like that, who were training to attack US and Europe. A conveient line of BS. 6-To think all this could of been avoided, if pp forced a SOFA, on the Baghdad government and left say 50,000 troops as a rear detail to fan out and secure intelligence, and destroy the terrorist and agents against the Iraqi government. But hell no, pp's 2009 1nd 2013 campaign promise "I got the US out of Iraq by 12.31.2011" and Afghanistan to follow same pattern 12.31.2014. 7-The UN, IMF, will now add the US and its Arab Allies 5 names on the list for destroying the habitat of millions for Syrian refugees now in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, elsewhere. Gets Assad off the hook.

By the way the US Embassy was vacated > month ago, last seen on the island of Malta. 4-Meanwhile, there are some who feel the "Peoples House" aka, WH restrictions on visitor passes too excessive. In last month or so, four incidents occurred where a citizen or citizens took matters into there own hands. One guy, using his military skills, jumped the fence and started a private tour of the WH, before being stopped. The residents were not home. The Secret Service were caught napping, so to speak, again. What if the visitor(s) were terrorist? 5-Downtown Cincinnati redevelopment agenda has a successful bi-cycling program named "RED BIKE". So what happens in the mean time for ground troops? 6-I believe the Brits, Canadian, Australia with join France and US at 30,000 ft over Iraq soon. 7-Some say pp is viewed around the world as an alleged US Constitutional Instructor, surrounded by "IS" and similar ilk thugs. Weak kneed and stupid. 7-If the quality of Syrian fighters match the US trained Iraqi Army, will they fold and run as the latter did in Northern Iraq? 8-Some say this war will last certainly beyond 2016 US election cycle! Maybe another ten years. US has a ~ 2,000,000 man military force in place, ready to go. Looks what the Greatest Generation did in just 4 years. After Nov 4, 2014 Congress will override pp position/veto, and release a military ground offence, and others nations will follow. Wipe out Muslim radicals like "IS", al Quaeda, others for generations to come. 9-I would like to read a historical appraisal someday, of pp's eight years as #44. 1-Tomorrow, the Scots will vote for independence from the UK. 2-That may be the reason the Brits aren't that fired up in joining the short list of military forces, ready to join pp's New War against "IS" in Iraq and Syria. 3-Tongue-in-cheek, a war could break out between the Brits and Scots. Theory wise the Muslim population, in the remaining UK, will jump to maybe >25%-30%, with Scotland leaving. The Scots, are not scot free so to speak, there are a lot of Muslims in Scotland also. I would hate to see a split, neither state can stand alone. 3-Beginning to distrust doctors after hearing what happened to Joan Rivers. Now another doc in Michigan was giving his patient unnecessary cancer treatment so he could charge Medicare aka O'Care. Ethics are being challenged on many fronts. 4-NFL suspended Rice for two games after viewing one or two videos of him cold cocking he girl-friend in hotel elevator. Then under public pressure, the NFL suspended Rice "indefinitely". Now, Ms. Rice is trying to tell the NFL a bunch of bull and that it was just a family issue and she loves the NFL (lifestyle) more than Rice. ( that is the writer's comment at the end.) 5-Another dude, Adrian Peterson, this time on the Viking team, beat his kid so hard with a tree limb, his live-in notified authorities. 6-Meanwhile, another woman pops up... her kid, fathered also by Peterson, was also mistreated. What a Revolting Development This Is!

1-US to dispatch 3,000 military personnel to West Africa to confront the spread of Ebola virus, (a potentially WMD, in my book). I believe US Forces will be mainly erecting hospital tents, setting beds, placing support facilities. Not sure of a medical staff involved. No clue when and if they deploy. 2-The SOD and JCOS testified today before Senate. They were grilled on the Iraqi/Syrian 'plan' and ROEs that may cover air strikes and ground support mainly in Syria. The original ROEs in the Iraq still stand, since US is just re-visiting the theatre of war, pp didn't end on 12.31.2011. 3-Those countries of the willing, who want to join the Coalition against "IS" are few, if any. If fact, those who want to fight will do so with US at 30,000 ft elevation. 4-Currently, the only ground forces are the Kurds up North and rounded up Iraqis and willing Sunnis to South to Baghdad. What happens South of Baghdad with Shirs and Iran is but a mystery. 5-The Syrian Civil War was discussed, and how one fights in a three headed front. "IS" and Assad are enemies/atwar with each other and the Syrian Rebels are at war with both and vise-versa. The Coalition to join up with the "good" Syrian Rebels. 6-Sounds confusing, it is indeed. 7-So far, 170 US airstrikes have been made since 08.08.2014 YTD. That is at a rate of 170 strikes/39 days = 4.4 strikes per day and that is just in Iraq.

But Sir, there are not 250 countries in existence, much less that are friendly, that want to follow you to war like in Libyan, and have drones take out Somalian, Yemen type. Work on it! We get no intelligence from dead terrorist. BS they stop talking right?. Now immediately, I got to make it to the golf course for 1:00 PM tee time. Sir, might I advise you, it could be a putt-putt course in, downtown DC? What me, the greatest golfer/ leader in the world? No one is assessing that yet, Really! But you are screwing the high ticket club golfers, because they own a golf membership costing tens of thousands in annual fees and similar bar tabs. 1-Last night pp spent 15.3 min. addressing drastically sinking public opinion polls numbers. 2-My assessment of the borrowed theme, Part I "IS war" in Iraq: 98.6% saying "yes", 1.4% doing "yes", 3-pp signaled to the world again, friends and foes alike, the consist of what his "Plan" to tackle "IS" in Iraq. 4-US to continue to fight from 30,000 ft with aircraft and drones, like successes in Yemen and Somalia (REALLY") and others will do the heavy lifting on the ground. 5-A hint as to who the others are: the Kurds and the Iraqi military under a new management. 6-Oh yes, I forgot there are more others, but yet unnamed NATO allies or nations of the willing--to be announced later. 7-The public opinion polls has forced pp to play his cards, he should of used three years ago in Syria. pp hinted he may have to go to Congress to get the authority to do air strikes in Syria from 40,000 ft against "IS" position and the US are going to arm the good Syrian Rebels (remember pp last month referred this motley crew something like "butchers, bakers candlestick makers) who are going to continue to battle both Assad Syrian Nationals and those little devil "IS" on the ground, at the same time. That's the three headed war I had refered earlier. 8-My assessmant of Part II (Syrian War): 99.9% saying "yes", 0.1% doing "yes". 9-There are special forces and CIA presence on the ground now, in both Iraq and Syria supporting the good guys, but pp didn't indicate such. pp did say he was going to send 450 more US advisors(military types) to the Middle East. Sounds like mission creep... like Kennedy and Johnson in the Vietnam War. 10-Prediction: US will have 250,000 combat troops on the ground, in both Iraq and Syria before pp leaves office. 11-That old saying: "an enemy of my enemy is my friend", will be tested in Syria? Will Assad and pp become buds? 12-Some sand for the gears! Now, Putin is not going to stand by, while his bud (ASSAD)is being knocked around, by US air power, Syrian rebels and a smidgen of NATO and other willing souls. Putin stands to lose his naval base on Syrian's Mediterranean Sea coast.

I hope. 6-Military schools will not have to alter their science and tacts for warfare, continue as they were before 01.20.2009. 7-Guess what? Whomever follows pp, the theme above remains the objective. 8-I challenge pp's authority as POTUSA, to wage this "war" without Congressional approval. pp is not responding to a "surprise attack"on our nation's soil as on 09.11.2001, like 12.07.1941 "surprise attack" in Pearl Harbor. pp has know for at least a year, what "IS" was all about and did nothing period. Not until two American journalist's were beheaded. 9-#43 with VP Chaney addressed the nation on 09.12.2001 and for days, weeks, months and years thereafter the "War on Terror" is nothing like other wars of history. No host nation(s) per se, are involved. By any emeny that does not wear a uniform or carry a banner of flag, blends into the population, at will and use same as shields. Suggested Prof: James Foley was killed 08.19.2014, two weeks later Steven Sctof on "V-J Day 1945" September 2, 2014. Total work force is shrinking in both nations, same is true in Europe including Russia. 6- New hires have to support ever increasing senior population. This burden has shrunk the number of new families created and posponed family creation until later in life, hence reduced net population for future generations. 7 ACTUNG, ACHTUNG> pp to announce to the world maybe Wednesday, including ISIS>ISIL>IS and all the other bad guys on this planet his plan, not strategy, on how he will handle the IS problem in Iraq. (Syria maybe later or never). There will be no additional US boots on the ground, only Kurds, Iraqi and other willing nations now number maybe 10-12. US and others nations to supply close air support for the ground troops in Iraq. 8-By the way #41 had 34 nations in 1991, #43 had 37 nations in 2003. They don't like pp very much. 9-NATO nation Turkey, who screwed #43, SOS Powell in 2003 and halted at last minute the US 4th ID and support from entering Turkey to get to northern Iraq. The Iraqi war would of been over in 100 day, avoiding the civil war and all the BS that follow. Anyhow, the Turks this time are going to let US/NATO supply Kurds and Northern Iraqi forces through there terrority. 10-Maybe if successful someday, whomever is the POTUSA, an agreement (SOFA)will be agreed upon. But for God's sake don't declare a War is over (before it's tiime) like pp did 12.31.2011. 11-Let's see what happens in Afghanistan come 12.31.2014! 12 The stupid "ice bucket challenged" has deteriorated into pranks dumping iced urine and feces on unsuspected doners. pp Ready to Vanquish Our Foes!

1-I suppose the saying "Doing Yes Trumps Saying Yes", will be put to the utlimate test in the coming days? pp is working on a collation first. Maybe a couple of journalist heads on a silver platter will expedite matters. Who knows? 2-But first, pp must get the VP back into his cage. GI upstaged the POTUSA while on world stage with what he was said..."we have to chase our foes to the very gates of hell, because there is where they will reside". The Joint Chief did not hesitate either, to be critical of the POTUSA on the capabilities of the US military might and we must strike IS's bases Syria and through-out Iraq. 3-pp gave at least three speeches in Europe. First was a side-trip to Estonia, to assurea NATO nation will be there if needed, should Russia attack. It was a Saying "YES" moment. 4-Reporters also questioned pp on what he is going to do in Iraq, Syria to stop IS terrorists. In one statement he contradicted himself. Saying "YES" and "NO" in one breath. With no teleprompters, pp waffled around further questions. 5-At the NATO meeting in Wales, initial pp response to the Russian/Ukraine shoot-out was vague and wordy, additional sanctions perhaps biggest take-away. Similar vagueness followed initial questions about IS in Syria and Iraq. 6-Before leaving Wales pp advised: NATO to form a 4,000 man quick strike force to handle any NATO partner attack, he will step up additional air strikes in Iraq and use Iraqi and Kurdish boots on the ground. No US boots on the ground, except in the Green Zone. My comment: What about troops, CIA and Special Forces who are calling in the coordinates for the air strikes?
