The shooting gallery in Tucson shopping yesterday should not come as a surprise. If not there surely somewhere else and it could be repeated, God forbid. The Pima County Sherriff, wise in age, sort of lost his cool towards the end of last evening press conference. He started firing off his frustrations basicaly about Arizona being in the cross hairs of anger, hatred, bigotry and viral speak and it has to stop. Amen to that.

Seems to me prevention is the better offense. Rather that the clueless snapping turtle stomping all over Afghanistan spreading her gospel on Homeland Security to deaf Afghans she should focus in on our homeland. Weed out the counter culture, radical groups that the 22 year old. white, shooter was a part thereof. At the same time stop illegal immigrants, dope mules, human smugglers and the like from crossing into the USA all along the border California to Texas.

Fuel for the fire:
A reporter asked the felled Congressman's father early on if she had any enemies? His answer...the entire Tea Party. I can appreciate the father's feelings, but why spell out one specific group that is not counter coultural or radical, but political and more in line with his daughter's politics.

Early in the evening TV cameras focused on a group of people, some sitting on the ground beating on tom-toms (drums that is) other holding lighted candles. Then on young guy in grungy dress gets up and approaches and kneels at a microphone. He sort of reflected on his feeling on the happening of the day. The next thing out of his mouth it was...Shara Pal... and the camera switched to another subject.
