State of the UNion Address
Following the State of the UNion Address, a poll was taken of CBS and CNN listeners: 92% and 84% approval respectively. MSNBC, Jimmy Carter, Chris Matthews, and North Korea also approved. PP just got out of Dodge on Wednesday AM before the CBO dropped a huge bomb or was it a "sputnik monent"? Does a "Sputnik Moment" supersede a "Teaching Moment" or do they have equal value? Do I really need to know? Anyhow the 2011 deficit is now projected to be $1.5 T or 9.8% of GDP and its only January. Most all of PP's "investments/ sputnick moments" of which he subliminally spoke thereof, are just spending projects and add to the 2011 deficit and national debt. To get the deficit and certainly the debt to a manageable levels, PP and Co. may have to entertain the Weimar Republic option and that ain't a Hail Mary pass.
PP is delusional and don't have a clue what real spending cuts are! Freezing all discretionary budgets for five years netted but $400 B in 10 years is laughful. State of the UNion Address
Who were the two guys up at the podium last night with Earl's Boy?
Noticed PP was not wearing the "Tucson" b/w ribbon on his label, like everyone else? Some confusion on part of some, is the right or left label? Did you also know one of the Lib-Dem-Progressive (LDP) who selected the b/w ribbon infringed on another established health cause that uses this color ribbon? LDP can't get anything right. More of the ready-shoot-aim m.o.
The other LDP idea of mixed random seating wasn't too bad of an idea. It neutralized the normal chaos coming from the LDP side of the isle, after ever other sentence uttered by PP.
The big improvement last night goes to the voters who kicked out the 70 something LDP cheer leader. Earl's Boy got up, but once to clap for the military, other wise he just sat, grinned and bore the pain. He also restrainted the VP from taking the place of the former cheerleader's jack-in-the-box character.
With Mother Moron banished to the crowd, lets you focus more on PP demeaner, while speaking. LDP now have some big time problems you see PP as he is, and that ain't good.

Should be interesting to see how the mixed seating works out at the subject Address tonight. Remember Joe Wilson (R SC), last year, probably finds the arrangement attractive... to shout down PP again. It will be more difficult to determine exactly where where the voice is came from, if one were to start point fingers in all direction to those seated next to him. I hope it happens, more than once. PP is a liar.
PP's Number One Topic, like last year, will be Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. Then he will slip quickly to all of his so called "achievements". We will see how he handles penning the Bill that extended the Bush Tax Extension, however there were a wagon full of "stimulus" items attached.

ROI
Found some dude who actually computed a simple ROI in re; The "first green zoo in the country"... Cincinnati Zoo. Since I had no numbers to work with, my gut feeling told me this investment would be recovered sometime in the way distant future, but yet this century.
Proof:
The project cost was about $11,000,000 of O'stimulus money. The annual savings of $150,000*. Thus ROI = $11 M / $150K = 73 years or 2010 + 73 = Year 2083. What did I say?
*Savings come from trimming peak electrical demand during the cooling season for A/C service. Right now its under of 6" of snow. Snow...this whole project was a snow job, most importantly the taxpayers. Gee, I wonder if addmission ticket price will increase. You betha Red Rider!
No CEO or Company President, in the free market system, would ever look at this project. Actually, no engineer/accountant would have the fortitude to ever submit such a silly project for approval, in the first place.

The mystery over location PP certified birth certificate still up in the air. This is in spite of the new Hawaiian Lib-Dem-Progressive dude's promise to the world, to put this issue to bed. He apparently can't get beyond the receptionist desk. Look in Kenya, look for a Barry Obama. I believe PP changed his name later to Brack Hussein Obama II to reflect his birth father's name Barack Hussein Obama. So the Certificate of Live Birth is a fake and doctored.

PP names a new person to head up the President's Council on Jobs and Competition, that being Jeffrey Immelt CEO of GE. Does he take a leave of absence for GE? Doesn't a conflict in interest disqualitify him? What did he do for GE during his tendure since taking over from Jack Walsh? Many at GE wish he were to disappear. PP is already in Immelt pocket. However he is better than appointing one of PP's Czars, in waiting. This announcement gives PP a talking point for State of the Union.

If PP can not get legislation passed through Congress, he is by-passing the legislative branch of government and doing it by regulation e.g.the EPA pulled the OP Permit on a WVa strip coal mine because of regulatory issues. Both Lib-Dem-Progressive Wva. US senators are up in arms along with Company involved.

1960s another Lib-Dem Progressive LBJ started to monkey with the Social Security Trust Funds (SSTF). He transfer the accumulated funds to US Bonds, so they could spend the money on other things. Treasury owes the Trust Fund over $2.5 B. The Treasury is flat broke, until 2010 tax revenue starts to flow in, which is guaranteed to be a shortfall.
SSTF outlay for 2010 exceeded tax revenue by $76 B. And guess what? As a trailer to the Extension of the Bush Tax Bill, the same bunch added a 2% employee deduction for 2011. That may stimulate the economy,but that really does nothing to solvency.
Every state, with the exception of AK,AR,MT,and ND budgets are bleeding red ink. Feds can't help, they shot their wad in backfilling the same states with some of the moneys, suppose to be spent on stimulus projects. Cut the damn spending, and issue IOU's.

While some think the bill the House voted on yesterday, to repeal O'HealthCare was a waste of time, think again. Regardless what Dirty Harry says, it does put the Senate and PP on notice, "change" is coming, if not by repeal, certainly as a total redesign.
Man, did gasoline prices go up again? Now paying >$3.15/gal. Some would blame "43" when prices rose <2009 to this level! Is it just supply and demand like it was in "43" day or is supply being maneuvered by WH to make "green" power more attractive? WH can't be that dumb. It will take 20-30 years before any green power impacts the economy greater than 15-20% maybe never and that a very long time.
The Cincinnati Zoo is the greenist zoo in the country. Almost every roof top at the site was covered with solar panels, provided by O'stimulus $s. Zoo Adm. predict an energy savings of ~20%/yr. From earlier reports, the panels only play a role to trim peak summer demand. I would like to see a simple ROI run on this sucker. I can predict a ROI, towards the end of this century. In the real capitalist business world that project would never happen.
BY the way the mid-west for the next couple days is under a Winter Weather Warning. Not too many BTU's being captured under ~6" of snow. Not enough to cover the energy used to circulate the fluid in the panel system. Turn off the switch, last guy out.
PP's approval rating, pior to the Chinese PM visit, were up in some quarters. It must be from the way he handled the Tucson Shootings Incident? Oh! the healing energy expended in the Congresswoman's hospital room made her eyes open. Not sure what happened since "His" visit, that she is up and standing and is being transfered to Houston for Rehab. in a few days? It was a miracle that she survived the initial gun shot to the head. The rest was in God's hands.
A coincidence accured with the Chinese PM visit, in regard to civil rights issues in China. The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner (Barak H. Obama) was chatting with the PM about civil right. The Chinese have the 2010 Peace Prize winner locked up in jail.

Today the House starts to peel back the onion, O' HealthCare Law, if they don't chuck the whole damn onion, which is rotten to the core.
On another front, over half the state's AGs now have filed with Flordia on the Unconstitutionally of the Law... which demands everyone must pay for the Law or be found in contempt fined and/or sent to prison. If this is upheld by the court system the whole financial support of the Law fails and the Law implodes on itself. Game over.
Show down at "OK Corral" slated for Senate on same subject matter. Those for the Law are beginning to form behind Dirty Harry. Be interesting to see how many the Majority Leader rounds up, considering many have a noose dangling above them come Nov 2012, so to speak. Those against the Law are marshalling behind the Minority Leader Senator from Kentucky, on the main street of Tombstone, so to speak.

Visit by Chinese Head of State.
The subject head of state to visit the WH today. PP is ready. He is going to lecture the visitor on how world finances really works. Or will it be the other way around? High stakes poker game indead. PP holds two pair: aces and eights with a jack of diamonds high. The premier is holding five aces! How can that be, you ask? Well, they are playing with a Chinese deck!!!

Boosting Ratings
PP arrived back at the WH Thursday ~2:00AM along with his entourage and wife. He expended perhaps millions of $s, not including the cost that the State of AZ and city of Tucson and Pima County spent. (Pecos Bill was still in town and in the audience, on overtime, not doubt), lost a days work for hundreds of people at the WH and other governmental offices, and donated tens of thousands pounds of CO2 and other polutants in the air we breath. I'm sounding green, but what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
President Reagan following the Challenge Explosion that killed 7 people, which the whole world saw live or on tape, went on TV that evening an addressed the whole nation and the tuned in world, the cruz of the diaster. And he did it in less than 15 minutes of air time and contributed zero polutiants to the atmosphere. By the way CO 2 was not a hazardous substance back in Reagan's time, we dummed down at lot since then.
That is the difference between a opportunist and a leader.

What was it?
It was billed to be a Memorial Service for the fallen victims of the Tucson slaughter of Saturday last. Usually Memorial Services are held in houses of worship, but not this one, it was staged in the U of AZ field house jammed with students and the grieving families of the fallen few. Overflow crowd were ushered to the football field, reminded me of The Denver occasion following PP acceptance of '08. The crowd went wild when PP and wife entered. Each of the speakers spoke from script with the exception of the 20 year old intern, who was one of the heroes of the tradegy, who spoke from the heart. PP kept the AG and the Secty. of Homeland Security, on message, by having them read from the bible. Now the big bopper stepped to the microphone and the house went wild again. PP did nothing but relished the attention. Everyone had forgot this was a memorial service. Again PP started out on script, then it turned into a preacherman's healing service. The climax came when PP stated, it was reported to him, that the Congresswoman had opened her eyes shortly after he and mamaO left the room. Almost a Biblical moment... it was not*, but the crowd went wild again. Back on script he addressed the hate, vitriol language over the past couple of years especially this last week, that has polorized the nation. This must stop, we need to demonstrate our best for the sake of the fallen victims, or words to that effect.* Winding up his speech focusing on the 9 year old granddaughter of Dallas Green of baseball lore. His delivery was excellent, didn't act as a mortition, feel your pain as the Zipper would say. Overall the speech was too long, 15 minute shorter would of been perfect, even mamaO'eye lid were heavy and she pointed PP to the exit as it she wanted to get out of there.
*The Congressman was in a drug induced coma to stablize her and to prevent swelling on the brain following surgery. As her condition improved, it had been reported earlier the hospital had been cutting back on drugs or drips thereof. It is quite possible the Congresswoman was slowly coming out of the "coma" when she opened her eyes, and it had nothing to do with the recent visitors.

Interesting Concidences
In the same book I referred to in previous blog "Makers @ Takers are some interesting concidences. Working your way through Acknowlegement and Introductury one arrives at p. 29 Chapter #1 "The Might Me" subtitle "Or, Why liberals are more self centered than Conservatives". I do not know/nor I'm I familar of the author Peter Schwartz or other books he may authored He made no reference as to who, in reality, this PP represents. I nailed this charactor PP, on you know who, for at least two years. My selection for PP had also to do with his early-on practily living in AF #1, and flying everyway.
Another coincident occurs on p. 178 where HRC, refers to her self as follows:

Arizona Visit
It takes a senseless tragedy, to get PP to visit the American SW/ Mexican border. The crisis in Tucson should not be used as an opportunity for personal advantage (Chief Sitting Bull is gone now) rather to provide solace to the fallen victims/families/staff members/families and especially to the wounded Congresswomen and her family.
Also PP must assure the American people/ and the peoples of the world killing for any reason is evil, immoral and will not be tolerated. The tragedy was in all aspects, a terrorist act. What was the killer's motives? PP needs to defuse the political spin fanned by this tragedy. Amendment # 1 rights shall not be treaded upon. Let the authories complete their investigations and let the justice system carry out its duty. In the mean time report only that which are known facts.
The last paragraph will never be in PP's script.
Sidebar: The US District Chief Judge killed last Saturday, was returning from daily mass at the nearby Cathedral, as he does every day. The cathedral was in walking distance from the shopping strip. This particular Saturday, he needed to speak to the Congressman. As I understand it, the topic of the converstation was in re: to spike in border crimes on his docket. Not sure that message was conveyed or not? Not sure either, if the message was positive or negative in re: to border crimes.
Just maybe ICE has stepped up there responsibility, at least more cases are making it to his office.

An American Terriorist
As I indicated in previous blog, left wing political spin has raised its ugle head re: Tucson Tragedy.
"Pecos Bill" aka Pima County Sheriff was not an exception. Last night on Rivera's program he reinforced his thoughts of the previous evening. He flat out cited the Tea Party candidate, up Nevada way, for saying bad things about his buddy Dirty Harry... during the election. Placing the cross hairs on one person, he named Sarah Palin, et.al. for all that is practically wrong with Arizona. She (Palin)set the stage for a wacho to do what happened in Tucson on Saturday AM.
This is an elected police officer, venting his fustration is fine, but his political bias, and naming names for all the world to hear is over beyond his First Amendment Rights. Even when asked if he wanted to retract anything he said. The sheriff's answer was no. Pecos Bill... hange up your guns and ride off into the sunset, you are no John Wayne.
The mid-term elections were over two months ago. The small gathering at the strip mall were peaceful, just wanting met/speak to their US Congresswoman. No security was asked for, nor provided. It was nothing like the hostle killing field that followed. Apparently the shooter and his cab driver were in the Safeway store getting change for a $20 bill, so to pay his cab fee? Thats a bit strange, why didn't the terriorits just give a bigger tip? How no one, in the store, could not of saw the guy with a semi-automatic weapon and two extended clips is a mystery. He came out of the store and starting to shoot, first the congresswoman, then emptied at least one clip on the gathering, before being apprenhended.
I think the authories must go back up the pipeline to find out how this known wacho was able to purchased, on Nov 30th, the Gluck semi-automatic weapon with at least two extended magazines with projectiles. Maybe investigate at other known/potentional wachos with weapons, including illegal aleins.
So, either the Congresswoman and/of her staff were unaware or ignored any death treats? This is evidenced by... no security employed... eyes focusing on the gathering and surroundings, who might just of been able to stop the terriorist early on.

Tucson
The shooting gallery in Tucson shopping yesterday should not come as a surprise. If not there surely somewhere else and it could be repeated, God forbid. The Pima County Sherriff, wise in age, sort of lost his cool towards the end of last evening press conference. He started firing off his frustrations basicaly about Arizona being in the cross hairs of anger, hatred, bigotry and viral speak and it has to stop. Amen to that.
Seems to me prevention is the better offense. Rather that the clueless snapping turtle stomping all over Afghanistan spreading her gospel on Homeland Security to deaf Afghans she should focus in on our homeland. Weed out the counter culture, radical groups that the 22 year old. white, shooter was a part thereof. At the same time stop illegal immigrants, dope mules, human smugglers and the like from crossing into the USA all along the border California to Texas.
Fuel for the fire:
A reporter asked the felled Congressman's father early on if she had any enemies? His answer...the entire Tea Party. I can appreciate the father's feelings, but why spell out one specific group that is not counter coultural or radical, but political and more in line with his daughter's politics.
Early in the evening TV cameras focused on a group of people, some sitting on the ground beating on tom-toms (drums that is) other holding lighted candles. Then on young guy in grungy dress gets up and approaches and kneels at a microphone. He sort of reflected on his feeling on the happening of the day. The next thing out of his mouth it was...Shara Pal... and the camera switched to another subject.

Flip Flops
I mispoke previous g-mail, said flip flops were invented sometime in the 60's, they were "renamed" from previous name "tongs" at around that time. Not certain, I believe they were called shower clogs prior to that. Clogs consisted of a wooden platorm that looked like the profile of the foot with a canvas sleeve which fit over the instep of the foot. Now the record is corect.
Speaking of flip flops, in the last g-mail I stated there was a spike in unemployment in 12/10 from data reported 01.06.11. What the WH or the BLM reported on 01.07.11 was there a drastic dropped in unemployment (from 9.8% to 9.4%). How can that be? Quite simply, you lob off the tens of thousands of people at the end of the year who dropped out of the job search and there 99 weeks ran out. Probably the real number is more like 20% of Americans unemployed or under-employed. Another non-reported and perhaps unattainable data, is how many people in the cottage industry were affected during the Great Recession?
The meager 103K of newly employed, as reported by PP yesterday, is but a drop in the bucket, but it going in the right track? Oh really??? At that rate it would take 20 years to get back to full employment of 94%. At 350K it will take 6 years.
Another unreported fact, the US deployed another contingent of marines to Afghanistan this week. That approaches the original request of 40,000 troops. PP is no Alexander the Great either. You have to ask yourself how many troops perished because the forces needed were held back in the surge of 2010, for political reasons.
On the home front...parents with children applying for new passport will not long be referred to a father and mother, rather Parent #1 and Parent #2 as directed by State Department. Figures when you asks the next question. Who is the Secretary of State?

Our President's Toes
Over the Christmas holidays someone took a snapshot of PP in tongs. Strike that...thats what flip flops were called when I was a kid. Strike the kid also... for they were not invented until the 60's sometime, I think. Howsome ever the photo is unique, so I understand, in that its the first time a US President's toes were seen in public. For PP its just casual Keynan attire. But Sir, Hawaii is not Keyna, and you can dress that way in your guarded compound, but in public dress for the office you hold, Dude.
I wonder if the WH staff being tossed out will be able to sign up of 99 weeks of unemployment benefits? Notice there was a spike in first timers last week again. By the way did you know another Czar was added to PP staff. Another unvetted policy maker, something about consumer protection, etc. Head count grows as more former community orginzers, socialist, communists, teachers etc. Did you notice the new WH staffing are more moderate Lib-Dem-Progressives, yet at the same time the Czar ranks are being reinforced? Strange things are happening...

Early Jan. thaw
Well its offical. Earl's boy is the Speaker of the House. Now lets get things rolling again. May have to issue a restraining order to keep Mother Moron in the Californian delegation.
The national debt is now over $14T, government shuts down @ $14.2T unless debt limit is raised, which it will. However, there will be major surgical hacking and wacking in spending cuts.
I understand we have three more days this tax season in which to request a 1040 filing extension date.
More good news Robert Gibbs, WH Press Secty. is heading out of Dodge, to be an outside consultant, whatever that means. Maybe he is going to become a blogger?
He was certainly no Tony Snow.

WH bucket list of Foreign Policy Achievements 2010
The WH cites seven foreign policy achievements:
1. After taking a shellacking Nov 2, PP excapes to India. According to WH this was a neat trick. Helped our relation India without pissing off the Pakistan nation. Thats a bucket list achievement? Ok 0.5 point
2. PP signed the free trade agreement with S Korea. "W" had this all set up when the buzzer wents off on Jan 20,2009 high noon. Give PP an assist.
3.He coaxed NATO to accept a 2014 timetable for transisting in Afghanistan. Really!
It was Richard Holbrook who negotated the new timetable after PP blundered in his speech at West Point before the 30,000 US compact surge started. PP said in so many words; we are hauling ass come August 2011. Holbrook is now dead, so PP takes the credit. Give PP another assist.
4.PP signed into law, the repeal of the Clinton "don't ask,don't tell policy" to passivate the 2% extreme left. Even the Grinning Idiot on 12.25.10 said the law will "eventually" allow gays to serve openly in the military. Note the key word "eventually". "When hell freezes over".
5. PP stopped the war in Iraq and helped formation of the Iraqi government. PP needs to read "Decision Point". May want to take this one out of the bucket.
6. Negotated and had the Senate ratify the STAR treaty with Russia. This is true. However, the US may of been tricked in the wording. Another advance, but in about face direction. No points until the treaty is activated and we can witness what happens.
7. While not saving a word, PP mobilized US navel, army, and air forces in the Korean theater, and prevented a hot war. Reality check: Its just North Korea acting up as they do at least ever year. I believe the joint Japanese and later South Korean war excercises had been planned and are also done on an annual basis. What the hell, give the dude a point on this one even though its pure BS.
