It takes a senseless tragedy, to get PP to visit the American SW/ Mexican border. The crisis in Tucson should not be used as an opportunity for personal advantage (Chief Sitting Bull is gone now) rather to provide solace to the fallen victims/families/staff members/families and especially to the wounded Congresswomen and her family.
Also PP must assure the American people/ and the peoples of the world killing for any reason is evil, immoral and will not be tolerated. The tragedy was in all aspects, a terrorist act. What was the killer's motives? PP needs to defuse the political spin fanned by this tragedy. Amendment # 1 rights shall not be treaded upon. Let the authories complete their investigations and let the justice system carry out its duty. In the mean time report only that which are known facts.

Sidebar: The US District Chief Judge killed last Saturday, was returning from daily mass at the nearby Cathedral, as he does every day. The cathedral was in walking distance from the shopping strip. This particular Saturday, he needed to speak to the Congressman. As I understand it, the topic of the converstation was in re: to spike in border crimes on his docket. Not sure that message was conveyed or not? Not sure either, if the message was positive or negative in re: to border crimes.
Just maybe ICE has stepped up there responsibility, at least more cases are making it to his office.
