What a wedding!

PP visited and saw first hand what nature wrought on Dixie yesterday before jetting off to the Cape. Originally he, mamaO and entoutage went down to watch Gabby's man, lift off from earth's gravity for the vacuum of space. Next to the last shuttle mission before PP mothballs the program. Hereafter, we have to be especially nice to the Russians for they have the only ongoing orbitor program that takes occupants and supplies to the ISS. PP can't shut down the ISS unilaterial. Sorry dude, NASA posponed the lift off because of mechanical reasons. (hold that thought, I will revisit.) It took guts for PP to come to the CAPE, knowing he was responsible for closing down the program and turning it, I guess, to civilian enterpreurs. That decision was a good one and will have legs in the long term. In the mean-time however, PP is laying off tens of thousands of direct and indirect employees whose careers are limited to the areospace industry. This action should do wonders for the job recovery rate.
I composed part of the above while sitting on the patio yesterday, in a day of sunshine... firsts in weeks. I also came to the following conclusions why PP went South. 1. To Clintonize the southern states affected by a 100 year event. "The gov't is here to help". 2.PP came to the CAPE, for political reasons knowing Cong. Giffords (DLP-AZ) was to be there, pick up votes for 2012. 3. Giffords' hubby was the shuttle flight commander, a few more votes. 3. The atmosphere at the CAPE probably would be artifically high for above reasons, as compared to the last flight which will be a bummer. 5. Whoever booked the pick-up commencment address should get $50.00 gas gift certificate, justify the ~$250,000 trip?
Revisit: NASA knew PP was to be among the VIPs to witness the second to last lift off, suddenly discovered a heat exchange malfunction in the orbitor, call time out. and sent everyone home ...until Monday 05.02.11. Maybe it just me, but can't help thinking... NASA did one for the Gipper. No, but just a small maybe?

The day before the big wedding

-Rough night in Dixie, over 200 killed. Big recovery opportunity but the States and Feds have no money.
-New unemployment filings up again for last week. PP will cloud the forecast by adding impact of last night's storms as a cause. Don't work that way, Sir.
-Trump flushed out PP's birth certificate. PP trys to blow off disclosure as a waste of his and everyone else's time. BS! He should of did it in the 2008 Campaign Season, like the Clinton's and et.al. wanted. PP didn't want written proof of his half-breed pedigree exposed. Might inpact the bros.
-Gentle Ben's press conference of yesterday, first in the history for the Federal Reserve, a sum-total... the economy is about to take a double dip by July 1 2011that's when the Feds stop printing fake money.
-Caution should be taken with the changing chairs at Defense and CIA upon policy, if there is one. Keep an eye what happens in Iraq and Afghanistan, now almost the most stable states in the whole of N.Africa and Middle East. Gosh! do you think we will get involved in Syria? Another non-war maneauver as in Libya?
-I wonder how PP's solar panels and wind mills faired this past month that found themselves in nature's storm tracks?

N. African & Middle East

Where we should have a dog in the fight is in Syria for many reasons indicated in earlier blogs. Someone must of lit a fire under PP, for just recently he finally made his canned statement of displeasure to the Syrian government. The human slaughter in Syria has been ongoing for weeks. Now tanks are being dispatched to attach the rock/brick throwing rebels, as latter's water and electricity is being cut off. Mary Poppin's still thinks its a fair fight, neither side has air superiority.

One piece of good news, Katic Couric is leaving CBS for places un-known. Perhaps Sarah Palin's campaign manager, if she decides to run for public office. Before she leaves she should be made to look into the TV camera and say "I'm Katic Couric, former anchor of CBS News and World Report", and say I'm not as smart as a fifth grader". (Jeff Foxberry's show on "MyNetworkTV").

Thinking about renting out the grade level of our house for we spend more time in the bunker to avoid possible tornados passing over head. So far the bunker has been high and dry, de-humidifier working overtime. Solar panels in this neck of the woods hasn't created a ROI so far this month, I bet.

*Where the fight for democracy began in establish countries, somewhat in tune with reality. Moncco exclude for the time being. See comment below on Egypt.
** Where rebellions are underway as we speak. Primarily they are tribal kingdoms which include military rebel leaders and other religious zealots who dictates rules, and enforce their princpless rather than of an organization government per se. These "nations" live by the motto "rule or die".
Comment: "Our" hand off policy in Egypt, could find the Egyption revolution being be a strategic loss for the West. The Muslum Brotherhood and other radicals filled the void. The US sat on its thumbs. This doesn't help our only real ally in region...Israel.

He has risen/Mission creep

He has risen over the week-end! From his dead-ass, PP finally stood up and critized the Syrian forces from slaughtering unarmed rock throwing fellow citizens. 100s have died or injuryed. Mary Poppins'(MP)doesn't think any action should be taken, because no one has air superiority in this revolt. Huh! Just point blank live gun fire against rocking fellow citizens is ok, using the Libyan theory*. The Syrian crisis is an golden opportunity for US and NATO if they have the guts. First to wipe out the Syrian's administration and military, for decades, disable Iran's enabler from suppling arms and resources to Hezbooah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza strip. Cause further uprisings in Iran perhaps overthrow, plus it would give Israel a little breathing room. But this will never happen with PP in office. That's what we would of done in the past administration.
*MP is sending dumpsters around the US to gather all millitary items from Army-Navy surplus stores, but not letal weapons, to send to the Libyan rebels, who ever they be. Secty of Defense is sending his own Easter present to NATO, two armed remote controlled predators. All this sounds like unauthorized mission creep.

PP 's Yr 2012 Budget

Walther E. Williams, columnist summarized the subject budget of $3.7 T or ~$ 10 B/ day. I jazzed up his statement a tad. The WH believes they can get revenue from taxing those households earning > $250K/ yr. That's a mathamatical impossibility. The IRS stated that ~2.2% of US households make > $250K/ yr. [By the way, PP's household 1040 tax return, by his verbal TV admission, was $1.7M and paid ~0.5K in taxes. A US President make $400 K, the balance of the moneys, $1.2M come from was not disclosed].
-Back to subject: If those households making > $250K including PP, were taxed on all their earnings that would yield $1.4 T, or keep government going for 141 days, leaving 224 day left in the year.
-Next tax the corporation's profit. [except GE who paid zero taxes, but made $3B in profit. GE Capital had a lot of write-offs hmm, but that PP's buddys' company]. OK so the other Fortune 499 earned $300B in profits. Taxing these profits, buy another 40 days of government operations into the year say July.
-Next. So what happens for the rest of the year...you guessed it tax you and me and that's not going to play well in Peoria either. The answer stupid...cut spending.

Its raining outside, can't play

Wouldn't you like to speak to some of the people who when polled select "Don't Know" for their answer? Number can be as high as 10%. Do they ever decide or just walk around in oblivion? Have you ever been polled? I haven't nor anyone I know.
New unemployment stats last week took a bounce into the wrong direction. Is all the air out of the ball? I don't know if I trust the weekly figures that are reported. Gosh! I am a "Don't Know" person, but that's ok to question figures generated by the government. Ever notice the BLM normally report the number of job created, then disclose what they had projected. Why don't they do it the other way if the figures are ligit?
PP got caught on an open mike while in Chicago. Sort of a different from his show time face and demeanor. I still want to see his original birth certificate.
Governor Walker of WI held his own in recent congressional hearings. A rising star in the CTPR party.
Have to add DC to the list of 44 states whose OP budgets, debt/deficites are in red for an aggregate of some $130 B. PP spent $600 B just last month in Libyan for what?

File your taxes

PP addressed Geo. Washington U's student body Wednesday pasted. Spoke like he was on the campaign trail. I suppose that's true to him, but it was about his plans to cut the current deficit/ debt and to offer his 2012 OP Budget. It was quite confusing indeed. There was no cheers but one hand clammping during the ~ half hour talk. A key issued was that he was delegating these critical issues to "GI", who at one point was sound asleep.
Key points in the address:
-Keep spending low, $4T in 12 years.
-Cut military spending $400 B in 12 years.
-Reduce health care cost $500 T in 12 years.
-Tax the hell out of the top 1 % earners.
-Eliminate tax deductions for the top 2% of earners
-Borrow less money*.
_Nothing new, same message.
*My comment: Since no foreign nations wants to buy more US IOU,s, Gentle Ben is having the Fed Reserve buy Treasuries Bills, and keeps the printing presses going
24/7. The presses are suppose to shut down in 3Q11, which will be interesting.

I think Ill take a nap

I thought I saw one of the WH roof top security guards leaning against one of the smoke stacks sound asleep, but that's ok there are two guards on duty. ATC's (air traffic controllers) are sleeping in CTs (control towers) all over the country. At the 27 CT's across the country, only one ATC is on duty on the gravyard shift, and there is no one to wake him up if he falls asleep while on duty. What! In the military that almost a court marshall violation, and most of these dudes come from the military so there is absolutely no excuse period. The guy in charge bits the bullet and resigns and that help nothing. The remedy being pushed is that they will add 27 additional ATC to keep the other ATC awake. What happen if...ain't going there. That's cost effective? In the case of Reagen National in DC, only two flights land or take off during the 3 rd. shift. Shut the damn airport down on the 3rd. shift and direct traffic to Dullus International down the road.

By the way for PP to fly to Chicago with his crew, for no reason other than to set up a re-election office and raise $s for that effort, the taxpayers are picking up a $600,000 tab.

Photo Finish FY 2011, only 7 months late

Finally FY 2011 OP budget has been put to bed as predicted, but where is the list of items = ~$39+ B to be cut. Maybe PP to address this 04/12/11 when he is to explain how he will be reducing the Nations Debt. Watch for PP to twist the issues and blame CTPR party.
Guess what, crrently electric car, what few there are, don't pay road tax, like the rest of us do at the gas pump. That's cool, just a detail. Average gas price $3.77/gal. Believe the WH has cooled its promotion for new "clean" Nuclear Power to provide the energy for the non-fossile fuel vehicles...some 20-25 years into the future. Why? Cause the Secty of Argiculture intention is to double corn production and to subsudize the fabrication of 10,000 gal tanks, pumps and ancillary equipment for installation across the country. Admitting the 1 st generation of E-85 was a dud, a new formulation still using, food staple corn, provides lessor a carbon footprint. Watch for increase in food products, while we sit on an ocean of natural gas/an crude oil. Supply and Demand forces will right the ship shortly. Its still E 85 = 85% ethanol + 15% gasoline. WH must be planning to install the new E85 stations in national parks , post offices, other goverment bldgs.,since PP hates US big oil companies.

Notice FOX canned Glenn Beck's show We hadn't watch his show since the elections. What he preached was on target, maybe a little dreamatic at times, but got the point across. It scared some people, especially sponsers. Certainly can't scare people with facts, but if you don't have viewers, sponsers get nervous.

Mircle didn't happen

PP wasn't in two places at the same time today. He hauled ass out of Dodge for a Spanish Wind Mill plant in PA at sunrise. Left Dirty Harry and Earl's Boy waiting 'till he comes home pressing matter like to finish the FY 2011 OP budget, and if they don't the next drop dead date is Friday, PP says Saturday. We have but 5 months and FY 2011 is history. Waiting is the batters box is FY 2012 OP Budget.

You know what, I think PP scheduling problems centers on the fact he got no electronic device(s) and he is using and old Franklin Planner, like I used to use. Don't write things down when you commit, and its like it never happened.

Japanese new car sales drop.

PP has some splaining to do about the taxpayers "investment" in GM. It is estimated the taxpayer will be out up to $60 B. Full repayment will not be possible unless PP can sell remaining share at a far higher price than current NYSE of <$33.00/share.
Ford outsold GM in March for the 2nd X since 1998, and Ford did not take a dime of PP $s. Not to sure about Italian-Chrysler finances, but the Mofia will always be there to help make a deal "you can't refuse". The Japanese nuclear problems are effecting their auto manufacturing drastically due to lack of continuous electrical power, as sales fall. Its also hurting US auto makers for parts manufactured currently in that country. Boeing's 787 which has be plauged for years by its P to the 4th power (piss-poor-prior-planning) to outsourcing fabrication of almost carbon composite sub-assemblies around the world companies, especially parts from Japan. Boeing grand scheme is just to assembly in America. It been a bummer, backorders in the years. Its unlikely the new material (carbon composite) would open up like a can opener due to fatique, like SW Airlines 737. The USAF has used carbon composite planes (stealth-types)for years, but "they" require special attention unfamilar certainly to American maint. and especilly to third-world maintanance depots.

Am I missing something here, shouldn't they be starting to work on FY 2012? At the same time PP will be on the road again campaigning. Lets see how he accomplishes the first objective successfully, or will campaigning win out. That dude has to prepare for the 2012 election and needs build up a billion dollar war chess, 'cause he ain't got much of an accomplished record. Well, there is Bo the Portugalese Water Hound, last years' victory garden (that's mamaO's achievement, two years now) don't yo touch that boy). PP need help, might stop in to see "W" for the rest of his play book, like Gitmo, 911 terrorist trials...
Dirty Harry doesn't have many friends especially in the CTPR ranks, they want him to scoot out of DC and move back to NV>
I think its time PP makes another extended trip to North Africa and the Middle East to take back his appology about previous administrations thug like treatment again the Muslum nations, before the leaders are all gone and the Muslum Brotherhood and their offshots take over the entire area now shown in red, on the nightly news.

Czar Cass Sunstein

Commrade Cass Sunstein has been commissioned to review all regulations on the books with goal to grind up unneeded regs. Now this dude was never cleared by Congress, no one except the guy who hired him(PP). Since the Czar reports directly to PP, I suppose PP will review what this guy's is doing. This will divert PP's leadership attention. As Rome is burning, this isn't the best time to be undertaking such an benign task. Rather another diversion of attention from critical and real problems facing this administration from all quarters.

Gotta tell where "bunk" comes from.

The word "bunk" has an interesting birth as a slang word. Buncombe is a county in North Carolina's 16th congressional district, at least was originally. A local US congressman representing that district would not shut up on the House floor on an issue, as his people expected. Congress has other pressing matters. Thus accounts for the origin of the slang word "bunk". Here is something interesting... the word "candidate" means one who wears white. A Roman candidate for office wore a white toga to signify his purity of purpose. Maybe this is something both current US Houses should adopt including the WH occupants. Hey one more, the word "boycott" takes its name from Captin Boycott, a land agent in Ireland in the 1880s. He was unpopular with the farmhands because of his severity; so much that they combined and refused to work for him or to permit others doing so. That word is now written boycott or boycotting. Enough.

Do you believe this stuff?

Social scientists have concluded people that live in central cities and surrounding berbs are more productive than those who live in small areas. That relationship between size and productivity holds regardless of education level, IQ, and experience of workers. To which I say is "bunk". Then why are the cities loosing population over the past decades? There is a small trend where young professionals are moving back to cities, but the number is minuscule compared to those leaving. However, if gasoline prices continue to rise (PP hates oil companies) and will remain high regardless what PP does, the latter trend above may increase but will take decades. Supply and demand forces will drive which way gas prices go, but additional gas tax will be assessed to main gas prices at $5 bucks + a gal. for long term. PP Secty of Energy believes gas prices should be equal to Europe, so small electric cars, wind mills and solar panel, will make US energy independent. US is subsiding Brazil for crude oil, while the US sit on billions gals. of crude and tens of thousands unemployed in the oil country alone. To which I say is a "bunk".

President indicates his intentions!

PP announced his 2012 re-election intentions today. Wants to raise $1 B for his campaign. Huh!
PP's 2008 campaign started out that the first thing he was going as president was to close Gitmo in one year, didn't happen perhaps never will. Also today the Camel Herderer (PP used his AG stooge to do the speaking) announced the(5) 911 conspiritors will be tried by military tribunal at Gitmo, not the US criminal court system in NYC. "W" is vindicated of both issues as is Donald Rumfield.
PP even made a world tour denouncing previous administration, thug-like approach toward a tender and loving muslum radicals world. What a joke. PP now is beginning to show his white side of his family. PP hates white folks.
US just lost 2 1/4 years and counting. Guarantee the tribunal will start < 10th anniversary on on 9-11.
PP is bobbing and weaving again in the middle east this time in the Yemen uprising, now he is with the rebels. What's happening in Libya, did we change sides or go home?
UN apologized to Israel today for wrongful charged civil rights violations against the Muslum bad guys. The UN is useless. US should stop funding maybe it will go away.

Does US have a problem?

The National Assocation of Education Progress test students for proficency, at 4th and 8th grades, in math, reading, science and writing. Spot check: In math: 54% white-Vs 14% others, reading: 43% Vs 13%, science: 34% Vs 6%, writing: 38% Vs 13% (understand they may soon drop block printing, just cursive and the iPad, et.al.). The US must accelerate immigration big time, but only for those those that improve upon the sad report above. By the way the teachers want to maintain the status quo?

PP is participating in the Libyan "war" as if it were a pick-up basketball game. When the going get tough he bails, and hands off the ball "leadership" to a weak kneed NATO and a bench of spectators. It is my understanding the US forces will on stand-by, but the military cost will drop precipitously to only $40 M/ mo.,somehow.

Cass Sunstein, the communist Czar in charge of PP's Regulation Review Study has been unleached to determine what is on the books as excessive, burdensome, reduntant, inconsistent, overlapping and just plain dumb. This does not include the Libyan kinetic military maneuvers, since PP changed the scope from kinetic to static.

A New Day, A New Month

To a busissman certainity in government makes for a partner. It's not just magic that the unemployment rate dropped (1% to 8.8%) and the new employment numbers were up over 200K this past reporting period. (however there are between 6 -10M of unemployed or under-unemployed, perhaps more if only the impact to cottage industry could be determined). What precipated the positive numbers? Certainly not anything the PP Adm. did or was it? PP has been anti-business, except for GE ( didn't pay a dime in taxes in 2010 makes for a joke) Congress and the WH are still battling over a FY 2011 budget which ends 1 October 11. The sad thing is the PP Adm. and the LDP party had control of both branches of Congress and the WH when FY 2011 Budget came due and they blew it. To the embarrassmeny of the WH, when they signed off on the Bush Tax Extension and its trapping, they created the certainity business needed to budget there future, if only for two years.

Secy of Defence: Robt. Gates to (Abe II). This carryover Bush Secy of Defence is the only honest person in the PP Cabinet and tells it as it is like Abe Lincoln.
