Two things that kills any business and/or government activity are: procrastation and indecision on part of the leadership. Peter Pan possess both. Gosh! way next Tuesday (~ Day 57) Peter Pan is going to meet for the first time with BP Officials. In this case, the Chairman of the Board of BP, to discuss what? Weither or not Tony H. (a hands on, nut and bolt type of chap) will attend is not for certain. Hopefully Adm. Thad Allen will be for our side. Chances are what we will find after next Tuesday conference: 1) the well head still burping millions of gals./da. of crude and two people, who are totally clueless as to how to plug the damn hole. What they will discuss instead of Priority #1, will be conformation of BP total comitment to clean up of the oily mess, and start paying civilan claims pronto, without confirming if claims are legal or not, while the whole environmal mess is still envoling. I don't understand how this will be resolve but, I do know this the problem will fester for years/decades. BP near time, will file for Chapter 11 and tons both domestic and foreign peoples who depend on BP for income and dividends on which to live are going to be hurting.
Just a thought: Lets make a trade. We trade Peter Pan and his WH handlers for Tony Harway, no moneys involved. Down deep, I know Tony is for real.
