-The RNC speaker line up reflected the youth and the depth of bench strength of the CTPR party. I (strike that, we) did something last night that varied from viewing previous RNC and DNC televised Conventions. Yes I watch both! We switched to C-Span for an uninterupted ramp up of the speakers and their messages. pp's open mouth-off script words: "you didn't build it, someone else did it" was recited many times. A gift that keeps on giving.
- Mrs. Gov went 5 for 5, all home runs. She made it crystal clear, The Gov lets his reputation and accomplishments preceed him and is humbled , even awkward and appear withdrawn to do otherwise. She focused on family, love, and the awsome duties of women, wives and mothers and the fact their jobs are never ending, no matter what station in life. Not one word about the current residents of the WH. She did a fantastic job, convincing any fence sitting LDP and Independent voters.
-The Keynote speaker, NJ Gov. was a powerful speech as expected without breaking a sweat, that I could tell. He too, did not speak of the residents of the WH, except to point up: Mr. President , you done lead by what the polls might indicate, you made the polls, as a leader... or words to that effect. He was taught that Respect trumps Love, in business or political worlds. Right on the cross-hairs. You don't lead from behind. He focusing on the on the macroeconomics of our country, and the tough, unpopular steps that a president must be take to cut spending, reduce the evergrowing debt ( in eight days should top $16 T) an get this nation back on track, without loosing the Respect of the world. His presentation reach a crescendo, when he uttered the words this country needs The Gov and the Cheesehead KID from WI (that's my words) NOW!!!!! -Then I switched to FNC, CNN and MSNBC for their anaylsis. Note! no broadcast stations. FNC was objective, except WW who thought Mrs. Gov was a corporate wife, a kept woman, who was not believeable of her life story? Really! I think he was paid to take that position, since the rest of the panel were favorable, in fact one thought this was the best of any candidate's wife speeches EVER! CNN was tempered with a lot of LDP buzz words of criticism. MSNBC lead by Matthews, in a clown suit of sorts, rolled gutter balls all. Tonight should be very interesting, in spite of Isaac's attack of NO and the surrounding beaches, we once stood.
