A Test of Intregity
-Your probably were relieved by the number of blogs issued this week > were few and far between. This period is the high holy days of the golfing world...the US Masters Golf at Augusta, GA. One of the Big Four: US Open, British Open, and US PGA in that order.
-TW has a problem. He must decide < 1:30PM today if he wishes to disqualify himself. It is a test to the intregity of the game its rules and regulations and TW.
-During yesterday's 2nd round, TW was atop the leader board after completing 14 holes.
-It was TW's third shot from the 15th fairway to the green, when he over cooked the shot, the ball hit the flag stick and rebounded sharply into the pond in front of the green. That calls for a penality of one shot. After TW weighed his penality shot options he decides to drop the provisional ball, according to golfing rule, to a spot as close as posible as the intital shot. TW disregards the rules and regulation of golf and steps back two yards and drop the ball. His caddie nor anyone else advised him of the pending infraction. TW blasts away leaving a second divit mark and placed the ball on the green. A TV cameraman "tapes" the two tandum fairway divits. Gotcha!
-It wasn't until TW signed the scorecard, he was appraised he took an 8 on the par 5 holes. That places TW back in the pack, but what does TW do at 1:30PM today?
