-Opps...the unemployment claims ticked up by 24K to top out at 399,000 for last week even though 200K new jobs were supposed to be created. Indeed this guess-estimating is not an exacting science, but anyone knows there is a drop in employment at year's end, that's a given. Why not put all the cards on the table. Example: >3.6M filed continued claims by years' end an increase of 19K from the week before. Millions more underemployed or just dorpped out. More GI's will be added to the unemployment ranks, and this is a sin.

-pp had a big meeting yesterday at the WH to discuss how he can create employment growth. Two from the group later spoke to reporters. 1) a union steelworker from one of the plant Romney (as CEO) took over when at Bain Investors. 2) the mayor of Atanta.
